This ad above was an advertising ad that was issued in October 1968 for American airlines. The American Airline ad talks about the quality of service they provide for their clients. American Airlines compares their quality of customer service to a way a mother treats her own son, only the best of the best. At the time of the release of the ad this caused huge stir, viewers were shocked by the choice of words placed in this ad, they considered this offensive and un professional.
This ad above also caused lots of media attention. The caption of this ad say's and I quote "Come over..for Coke" this ad is offensive in many ways. At the time of this ad America was going through some tough times with drug consumption throughout the nation. Coke especially was the all American favorite escape drug that everybody used. It took a lot of gut to place such a controversial ad like this especially for such a well known company like Coke Cola.
